Great drill for home handyman
I’ve had this drill about a month and like it. I upgraded from an old 9v makita and it’s a huge upgrade.
Most of the drills in this price row of mountains are high quality tools and the makita’s got all the torque, speed, control of a good quality cordless. What i like about this drill is the lithium-ion battery. not only is lithium-ion a greater environmentally friendly battery than nimh or nicad but they hold their power longer. This means the person who use a drill periodically (opposed to a every day use contractor type) will find their drill still charged and ready to use after sitting in the closet because of 2 weeks. And, the batteries truly travel direct as fast as they announce they travel.
I also accord with others who wound up liking the small led brightness that points at what you’re doing. Makita BDF452HW seemed silly at first but when you’re under a branch or in the back of a closet there’s no need to drag a brightness with you, which is nice.
